1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to MyCollegeLab. By visiting our website, writing code in our editor, or executing programs through our compilation APIs, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should discontinue use of the platform.
We designed these terms in plain, accessible language rather than dense legalese so that students, teachers, and developers clearly understand their rights and responsibilities.
2. Educational Purpose & Freedom of Use
MyCollegeLab is provided 100% free of charge for students, university professors, lab instructors, competitive programmers, and hobbyist developers. You may use MyCollegeLab to:
- Complete computer science coursework, lab practical assignments, and homework.
- Conduct live classroom demonstrations and programming lectures.
- Practice Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) and prepare for technical interviews.
- Prototype small scripts and test algorithms in C, C++, Python, Java, and JavaScript runtimes.
3. Acceptable Use Policy (What is Prohibited)
Because MyCollegeLab executes actual native binaries and scripts inside Linux containers, we enforce strict safety rules to protect our shared server resources for all students:
Strictly Forbidden Activities
- Cryptocurrency Mining: Running bitcoin, monero, or any proof-of-work mining algorithms.
- Denial-of-Service & Network Attacks: Using our servers to port-scan, DDoS, spam, or probe external network systems.
- Privilege Escalation & Container Escapes: Attempting to break out of container sandboxes or access the host kernel.
- Fork Bombs & Hostile Code: Intentionally deploying infinite process trees (
:() :|:& ;:) or destructive payloads. - API Flooding & Abuse: Running automated bot scripts submitting hundreds of rapid requests without prior authorization.
Violations will trigger automated rate-limiting, request throttling, and permanent firewall blocks. Our activity logging pipeline records security telemetry to defend the cluster.
4. Your Code & Ownership Rights
You own 100% of the code you write on MyCollegeLab. We claim zero intellectual property, copyright, or licensing claims over student or user source code submitted through our editor.
The MyCollegeLab brand, logo designs, web interface, diagnostic assistant logic, and curated algorithm catalog are protected by copyright. Third-party libraries (Monaco Editor, Lucide icons, GCC, Python, OpenJDK) remain property of their respective open-source license holders.
5. Execution Limits & Service Availability
To maintain equitable access for thousands of concurrent students during laboratory exam hours, the following limits are enforced per execution:
6. Legacy Turbo C / C++ Compatibility Layer
Indian colleges and academic syllabi frequently require legacy header files and functions such as<conio.h>,clrscr(),getch(), and<iostream.h>.
MyCollegeLab includes an automated bridging layer that internally maps these legacy calls to standard Linux terminal equivalents so your lab assignments compile and execute seamlessly. This bridge is provided purely for educational assistance.
7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
MyCollegeLab is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis for educational, non-commercial purposes. While we strive for continuous uptime and container stability, we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Exam Recommendation: We strongly advise students to keep local backups of code prior to formal graded university examinations. MyCollegeLab is not responsible for lost academic marks, missed submission deadlines, or campus network failures.
8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. All platform operations, scheduled maintenance windows, and log rotations operate under Asia/Kolkata timezone (IST, UTC+05:30). Any disputes arising from the use of MyCollegeLab shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
